Go Vacation Thailand was founded in 1983, originally under the name LTU Asia Tours Ltd.,
to provide airport passenger handling services and package tour arrangements in Thailand for
the German carrier LTU International Airlines and clients of its subsidiary tour operation
LTU Touristic GmbH. Initially, LTU operated charter flights to Thailand, but its services
proved so popular and growth so dynamic that, in 1991, full air rights were obtained for LTU
to serve Thailand on a regular, scheduled basis. The number of its flights continued to grow
rapidly and successfully.
In 2006, LTU Asia changed its name to Go Vacation Thailand, reflecting its greatly expanded
range of services, not only for LTU, but also for a growing number of other international
airlines and inbound tour operators.
In 2007, LTU International Airlines amalgamated with the major German carrier Air Berlin.
Go Vacation Thailand continued to provide the full range of passenger handling and package
tour services throughout Thailand, building on a record of achievement by adding new dimensions
to its operations.
Today, Go Vacation Thailand has eight regional offices located throughout Thailand and
employs over 250 expatriate and Thai staff, serving over 200,000 travelers annually,
for an increasing number of major international airlines, tour operators and travel agencies.
